Meri's Archive

Help

Good questions, clear sources.

Meri's Archive points to catalog providers. The provider's record is the best place to confirm a book's details and access.

Where do search results come from?

Search forms send your query to Open Library or Project Gutenberg. Each provider returns its own current results and result count.

Does every record include a readable or downloadable book?

No. Some records are metadata only, some offer borrowing or online reading, and some link to files. Check the source record for the exact edition, format, access conditions, and rights.

Can I filter by language, publisher, or year?

Use the catalog's own search and filters after your search opens. Open Library provides an advanced search page; Project Gutenberg provides filters in its catalog.

Why did a search fail or return no results?

The catalog may be temporarily unavailable, or it may not have a matching record. Try another spelling, an author name, an ISBN, or the other catalog.

How do I report incorrect metadata or a rights concern?

Records and files are managed by their source providers. Visit Contact & reporting for the providers' reporting links.
